Bodyguard Smoke Detector

Bodyguard Smoke Detector is a single station 9V battery operated photoelectric smoke detector. Designed to sense smoke that comes into the detector chamber and provides early warning of developing fires by way of alarm sound.

• It does not sense gas, heat or flame.
• Device contains a light source in a light-sensitive electric sensor, which are positioned at 90-degree angles to one another.
• Normally, light from the light source shoots straight across and misses the sensor.
• When smoke enters the chamber, it scatters the light, which then hits the sensor and triggers the piercing alarm thereby providing precious time for persons to escape a fire.
• Device typically responds faster to a fire in its early smoldering stage before the heat source of the fire bursts into flames when compared to an ionization type detector.
